Scott Hennessey

Vice President, Federal Policy

Scott Hennessey is Vice President of Federal Policy for Brookfield Renewable’s U.S. business, representing the company’s interests before the U.S. Congress and the Executive Branch. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Hydropower Association.

Before joining Brookfield Renewable in 2018, Mr. Hennessey worked on federal energy, transportation and tax policy for Tesla and Tesla Energy (formerly SolarCity). Prior to Tesla/SolarCity, he served as Director of Legislative Affairs and General Counsel for the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Mr. Hennessey earned a JD from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Oberlin College.
