Stephen Gallagher

Chief Executive Officer

Stephen Gallagher is the Chief Executive Officer for Brookfield Renewable’s U.S. business. In this role, he is responsible for all elements of the U.S. operations, with a particular focus on strategic direction, commercial activities, and finance.

In 2017, Stephen joined Brookfield Renewable Europe before moving to the U.S. business in 2019, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently as Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to Brookfield, he worked in the shipping industry and as an investment professional covering the oil & gas and materials sectors at State Street Global Advisors.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from University College in Cork, Ireland. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
